June 14, 2016

Awesome family we are teaching!  Minus the parents, they were sleeping when we stopped by.

This week was a pretty great week! Patricia, our investigator, got
baptized! We had been meeting with her every day to get her ready for
her baptism and teach her everything and her testimony of the Book of
Mormon has been growing stronger and stronger and her faith has been
increasing! When she came out of the font, she was so happy and
crying. We stayed in the bathroom with her (She never wants us to
leave her sight sometimes, shes so funny!) and she changed in the
other stall and the whole time we could hear her crying! She loved
making that commitment to God. While we were having a lesson with her
she was talking about how special of a day baptism is and how she was
so excited and then she stopped and said "Well, I guess I can feel
that every Sunday when I take the sacrament.." I was blown away and
she said "Well, I am learning something Hermanas!" because she didn't
think she was going to know enough. She was so so happy and she is
fellowshipping herself into the ward!

Patricia's Baptism!

We had another investigator come to church yesterday. Her name is
Rosy. she is a member referral and the first lesson we had with her we
brought the member and the member basically taught her about the
Restoration! It was super cool and the Hermana even invited her to
church and stayed after to talk after we left. She came to church all
three hours this Sunday with her 3 year old daughter. She went to
Sunday school and the members just took her in a were trying to teach
her. she had so many good questions! The coolest part is that we had
a ward party and she came with her dance team and danced a tradition
dance from Guadalajara. that was about a month ago more or less. ever
since then she has been interested in our church and is looking for
truth! So that was a super cool miracle that she showed up to church
on Sunday.

My New Companion!

Today was transfers and Sister Shields left. We had a lot of fun
together and worked really hard, but now its time for new changes. My
new companion, Sister Castañino, has come out of the Mormon Batallion
for 2 transfers (They get 2 transfers out of the vistors center) and
she is from Argentina! She learned english in the mission so I am
already learning sooo much more Spanish. She is also suuuper funny.
ITs gonna be a good transfer!
