Fourth of July Post-studies
I am glad you had a good time in Idaho. I didnt do anything for the
forth of july either. We went home a 6 because our mission president
doesn't like us to be out on certain holidays at night, some asked us
to go home at 6. We studied during the time that we would usually be
out teaching and we had certain assignments about faith and set
personal goals for the rest of this year (or rest of our missions if
we go home this year) for baptism and other things. It was a good
night and I learned a lot of really neat things about faith during
that study and I am excited to apply the things that I learned. I
didn't see any fireworks outside our window either....they dont do
fireworks 3 mins from Mexico. :(

Exchanges
This week was pretty crazy. I went on an exchange with my trainee who
is now in the valley and we worked pretty hard. Right now we are
teaching this lady named Laura, the daughter of one of our formers.
She wasnt that interested at first becuase she believes in the same
thing as the JW but she isnt active. She wants to find happiness
because she feels sad and recognizes that the materialistic things
arent making her happy. She asked us if we are happy and of course we
told her yes. Then she told us that she wants to find that happiness
and she wants what we have. SOoooo we taught her the gospel and then
we taught her a couple days later and now she wants us to meet her
children and teach them because they dont know anything about Heavenly
Father or Jesus Christ. It has been super cool to see her change and
now she is reading and praying. She is going to have a hard time
coming to church because thats her husbands day off, but she'll get
there eventually :) If she wants it enough.
We were also supposed to see that lady that was having a bad day on
exchanges, but she wasn't there and we were super sad about it because
that was an exciting find! A couple days later we stopped by and she
was there, she just got caught up in the day and forgot about our
appointment. She let us teach her and we had a great lesson with her!
She understood things and even told us she had read the pamphlet. She
even shared with her niece in El Centro (Not our area, que triste) who
doesn't really believe in God about the experience she had with us on
that bad day and her niece started crying and saying she is going to
open her heart to believe in something. Crazy!

I nursed my comp back to health
My companion basically broke her foot this week and so I have been
nursing her back to health :) She has been working really hard even
though she is in pain and so we have been seeing lots of miracles. We
aren't even really sure what happened to her foot, but it hurts. I
make her elevate and ice it when we are home and she hates me for it,
shell thank me some day ;) Good times!!
That's all I havve to say this weeek!
Love,
Hermana Lapp
