I actually have been making Mexican food. Just easy stuff like tortas and
fancy quesadillas....I'm kind of running out of ideas. The other day I made
chicken and fried potatoes. Just whatever we have I try to throw something
together.
This conference I think I learned that as I forget myself even more and
just work harder I will be able to feel the spirit even more to be guided
to those who are ready to accept the gospel. Something Elder Patrick Keaton
said that struck me when he was talking about the refugees was "Our
response to others in need will define us." And I found that statement to
be true, that as we fall more and more away from ourselves, the more
successful we become because that response is what defines us.
As for the work....it's pretty slow going right now, but my companion and I
are not! Right now we are in the process of finding and I can feel the
blessings coming! Arturo who accepted a baptismal date is definitely having
obstacles to make it to his baptism, but he still says he wants to get
baptized and that he knows Satan is holding him back.
My companion and I get along very well.. She does make fun of me a lot!
Haha I'm so used to it by now...I've only been teased since birth.I don't
know why everyone likes to tease me....luckily she didn't prank me for
April fools.
My companion and her family have an Easter tradition of hiding an Easter
basket and then the person has to go find it. So her family sent her some
bags with candy and we were supposed to hide it. We didn't get to it until
yesterday though. So yesterday we finally remembered to do it! We got some
pretty funny videos of me because she hid it pretty well. I was rolling on
the floor at one point! Anyway, haha it was pretty funny, I'll send
pictures.
